The reality of visiting Disney durning a pandemic is mask wearing. I doubt there is anyone out there who actually enjoys wearing them...but they are a reality for the foreseeable future! One question I get all the time is "how to you get H to wear a mask so well?". H is 2.5 and we have had great success getting him comfortable wearing a mask once he turned 2. Currently in Massachusetts we are required to wear masks pretty much everywhere, but I've also prepped him a lot!
Before our latest trip we took a lot of day trips to prep. I would remind H that he needed to wear his mask while we were in Disney. I reminded him multiple times/days before our trip that we wear the mask to keep us and others safe. We had no problems with mask wearing while we were there! I highly suggest getting masks that are comfortable and lightweight. I usually let H pick the masks he wants to wear. Involving him in the process seems to help a lot. I also brought A LOT of them. Between Florida heat, snacking, and just general toddler grossness H went through 3-4 masks daily. If you are struggling with your toddler I found that @biglittlefeelings (on IG and FB) had a lot of great tips/tricks for mask wearing. If H was having difficulty keeping his mask on I would get down to his level and let him know that if he couldn't keep it on then we wouldn't be able to stay. Usually that worked. I alway try to reason with him and be honest. A gentle approach works best for us. I find if I try to force it the more he resists.
If your 2+ year old is really struggling with wearing a mask, or flat our refuses I would recommend postponing your trip until they are more comfortable or until masks are no longer required. The cast members are very vigilant about keeping everyone safe, as they should be. Our favorite masks are from old navy & gap.

I am really crossing my fingers that we won't need to wear masks much longer...but until then I hope you find this blog helpful.
